My baby is 2

Happy Birthday to Ferr we had a little party and she was so excited to get the baby doll we gave her. She is such a blessing and a little attitude in our home. We love you Ferryn.

Snow, Snow ,and more Snow

A look down the street. The kids did not think it was fair that they had to go to
school and the kids at home in SG didn't in this pic we
have about 6" of snow.

O Christmas Tree

Almost every year we have a tradition to go with Rob's uncle and whoever else wants to go and cut down trees. We usually go to the Kiabab but this year we decided to go a little closer to home. Here is a pic of Rob's uncles family tree.

This tree is only about 3
ft tall the girls are on their knees.

The Rhino was the tree hauler, it was a great day of shooting, tree cutting, and then home for lunch at the local diner. We had alot of fun spending the day with family.

What's for dinner?

Lately every time I put something on the stove I find this, A great helper who thinks he can help cook. He has browned hamburger, and chicken quite regularly. Maybe he will be a chef. Any one need help with dinner?

The Weekend

We went to Page for a race this weekend, Rob hasn't been on a bike since March. It was great to see our friends at the races. Stieg's bike took 4 kicks to start, he struggled in the sand, still did great. He wrecked on the first loop and broke his clutch lever, we spent 30 min in the pit trying to find a lever, and then filing it down to fit. He only made it 2 loops but was riding really good on the second loop.

Go STIEG

We had these number 1's made for Rob at the first of the year, and just put them on the bike the night before the race. So I had to get a pic. Rob and Bert rode the team race, it was a great time for them. They both are out of shape and were arguing who was going to ride the 3rd loop. Rob lost out on that one. They had to start in the am. class instead of the expert, and Rob started. He came into the pit 16th overall, not bad for starting 5 min after the experts. Bert then got on and rode a loop coming in 12th. And it was up to Rob to finish. He came in at the end in 5th right behind 4th, he said he was too tired to try and pass 4th place. He rode awesome, but has been a walking ad for icy hot this week.

After the race we went to Hatch and stayed at my Mom and Dad's house there. Sunday morning my Dad said he wanted to go for a ride and show us something. These Moqui Caves were what he wanted to show us. Hard to believe the Indians lived in these in the winter. But pretty neat.

As you can see they sit along this big canyon.

We took a different road home and look at the view of Lake Powell isn't it beautiful.

Happy Birthday Trax

Since Traxton's Birthday was on Nov 1st we just spent the weekend in St. George. Thanks to Rob's parents for letting us have a party at their house. It was great that most of the family was able to make it. My kids love spending time with their cousins.

The Pirate Cake was a big hit.

We had good food and cake and ice cream and as usual Trax was spoiled. I can't believe he is already 4. He is getting so smart and loves going to school. Food , Family, and Fun what more can you ask for.

Halloween

Kia, Talon, and Traxton got to dress up for school.
Stieg didn't dress up on Thurs. because the Middle School was going to Cedar to go bowling for the day

I guess I need to fix the date on my camera. Oh well not much we can do now.
Here they all are. We were about 30 min out side of Panaca when I realized I didn't pack Ferryn's costume. I was a little disappointed, because she was going to be Tinkerbell. I have never had a little princess for Halloween. Of course those of you that know Kia, would know that she has always been afraid of frill and lace. Thanks to Grandma Riggs for keeping some old costumes on hand. It was so great to be back in the neighborhood and see everyone. It made me miss home. As we were walking and visiting with everyone Rob said. "We used to live in a nice neighborhood, didn't we." The best. I guess you could say here in Panaca we live on what looks like the wrong side of the tracks. I post some pics sometime.

After the homecoming parade we headed for the hills. The opening day of the rifle hunt was Sat. We had a blast enjoying the cool weather and great company camping. One of the guys that used to work for Rob and his wife came out and camped with us. Robs parents came out on Sat. and left Mon. morning and Rob's uncle and two of his daughters came out on Sun. It was a great time even if Rob and the guys couldn't find a decent buck. The weather was nice and cool and who can complain about dutch oven food.

My kids love these girls and miss them so much. It was great having them come out for the day

Lincoln Co. Homecoming

Thurs. night we took our camp trailer out to our camping spot (so we would have one) it was the start of the Utah deer hunt and we came back to a fire in Panaca, a huge bon fire. All year long the residents of the county pile their limbs off the trees and their shrubs, and any scrap wood they have and they burn it in their homecoming bon fire. My pic doesn't do it justice but serious the burn pile and the fire was as big as the house we live in.

Last weekend was Lincoln Co. High homecoming so the kids were in the parade. The parade went all of two blocks, but I think we left with more candy than ever. Here is a pic of Stieg marching in the band.

Talon rode on a float and Kia ran behind one. Here is a shot of the kids and their candy

Stieg's 1st Buck

After a few shots Stieg was able to get his first buck. The muzzle loader hunt was 10 days long and the only Friday and Saturday we were in St. George for a wedding and a baptism. So Sunday morning we all loaded in the Rhino and headed out. Just after it got light we spotted this little 4 point. It took Stieg some time to settle down but finally after a couple shots he got the deer down for good. All on his own, Rob and I wish we could say he gutted and cut it up all on his own too, but mom and dad helped. So we added a little more meat to the freezer and are going to find the jerky recipe.

First Blog

O.K. This is so totally new for me, but after we moved Rob and I were checking out some of the old neighborhood blogs and we decided we were going to give it a try. Don't know how well I'm am going to do at keeping it up but here we go.
